My Approach

My approach to therapy is integrative and client-centered. I utilize elements of Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solutions Focused Therapy, Experiential Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy. Using a variety of treatment modalities allows me to tailor the therapeutic experience to each client’s needs. I am committed to upholding an anti-oppressive environment by incorporating an Internalized Oppression framework into my practice.

Being a family therapist means I think in terms of systems and consider how each member of a relationship, whether family, romantic, parental, sibling, etc., mutually influence one another. I will help uncover problem cycles that reinforce conflict, collaboratively search for ways to interrupt these cycles and create positive outcome.

As your therapist, I will follow your lead and stay with you in your experience while remaining non-judgemental and accepting of where you are in your story. Together we will explore your negative thoughts, their impact on you and learn how to replace those thoughts with thoughts that are more helpful.

Education and Professional Training

I received a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Antioch University and a Bachelor of Arts with an emphasis in Multicultural Counseling and Women and Gender Studies from The Evergreen State College. I am currently a Marriage and Family Associate Therapist Licensed in the State of Washington.

I have worked with children, teens and adults in outpatient group practice and community mental health settings. My recent experience working with teens, adults and couples helped me foster a love of working with people seeking therapy for enhancing communication skills, building coping skills, life transitions, developing community, family support, crisis management, grief and bereavement, suicidal ideation, self harm, and anxiety.

I have advanced training in Perinatal mental health and have a special passion for working with people throughout their perinatal journey including conception, pregnancy, and the postpartum time period.
